Actually baby talk is not allowed at home. We don’t practice it. I talk to my daughter as a friend and a mom. Whether I like it or not baby learn language by watching TV.

Good communication skills is a guarantee of success and linguistic intelligence which makes us a good communicator. Make a habit of saying “I can do.” God gave the whole brain. We must use it wisely.

Nashville Zoo:

It wasn’t that nice during the weekend. We still glad we had a chance to enjoy outdoor activities  though we wore a light jacket. The air is cool and it doesn’t stop us to go in Nashville Zoo. This time we saw the whole zoo and Little M had fun in Jungle Gym were she stayed half an hour just playing.

Shopping:

After the zoo, hubby’s want to go shopping for he needs some inside t’shirt  for work. I have 10 dollars gift certificate so I gave it to him since I don’t see any I wanted that day. But Little M can’t resist not to buy any of her Little pet shop.In short hubby bought 2 little pet shop to add on her collection. What a brat

Dinner at at Granite City Food and Brewery: 

After we shopped we both decided to dine-in at Granite City Food and Brewery.Hubby likes to drink some beer and this is our second time to dine-in in the said restaurant and they change the menu already. So hubby and I were surprised.I ordered pasta with vegetables while hubby has a nachos with beer. Little M has some our foods so we don’t buy any kid’s meal.

Mother’s Day:

We went to church on Mother’s day and had breakfast at  New York Bagel Cafe & Deli before we went to church for 11 mass. After our church we went to pet store as request of Little M. We stayed for an hour in Brentwood area and decided to go at Factory Franklin to see what’s going on there. Most of the store was closed because of Mother’s day so we decided to had lunch at Pucketts Boat House. It was nice they gave  flower for every mom and wisdom mini book.

After the lunch we went to the Park for couple hours  and went home.We dine-in at Chop house for dinner. I have had a best weekends hubby spoilt  and pampered me. That was the best gift I ever have.He doesn’t give me an expensive gifts but the loves and joy that we share as family.

I Wear My Tutu Everywhere!

It is a book by: Wendy Cheyette Lewison were the little girl wears tutu everywhere and went to a dance class.Little M loves the book  since she can see herself wearing the same clothes like in her ballet class.

Brain Quest 4-5-is like a game where you can show to your kids the picture and she has to answer it.This activities helps  encourage the kid’s to use their listening, reasoning and visualization skills while having fun.

Letter from her friend (G)- She got a letter from her friend in North and had some stickers on it. Its so sad we moved to South and now they are far from each other. Both girls are asking all the time when they have to see each other.

Summer Camp:

Summer camp is a site camp providing  care and activities for children during summer month.Sad to say my daughter is still young on the camp so I have to do the weekly activities for age 3-5 year-old at least one hour everyday for one week.

Ever week has different theme so I choose the one she is interested.

• Summer camp Reading Programs- I signed up for the whole reading programs that would starts on summer .The programs are for 3-5 year-old and runs up to  8 weeks.
• Princess hip-hop dance-The program is ideal for age 3-5 year-old for one week
• swimming lesson- at this time she is in level 2 and she loves it. Hopefully by the end of the year she knows how to swim.
• soccertots-I seen this program and I don’t have time to go to registered,yet.I’m still thinking  if I want to drive 20 minutes everyday though the program is good for  one week.
• Family club-I have an appointment on Monday to tour the facilities and check what they offer and go from then.

Why do you want to send your daughter in summer camp? 

It is simple I can’t entertain my daughter  all day long and I want  to improve her social skills and how to  play with other kids at the same time she is learning. It’s also a good idea so she enjoy the outdoor activities when the weather is nice and it is so a shame to stay inside the house. Perhaps,if I have other siblings is another story. Having an only child is kinda hard and needs a lot of attention so we do our best to keep her busy especially she has no friends near to our house.

          she laughs and told me,NO.so I told her okay,just want to make sure,LOL

so I ask her again? You want to be like daddy? 

            she told me NO, Daddy busy and he goes in the airplane all the time, so I explain to her why daddy is busy- Daddy needs to work so we  can buy food  and she can go to school, go vacation and buy  toys, and Little M  answers ,Grandme buy toys . LOL!

          I want to be a DOCTOR, oh! so you want to take care of a sick people, like mommy and daddy and she told me, YES. Every time I ask, she’s been consistent and wants to be a DOCTOR.

Actually, she gets an idea through her favorite show  the “Doc mcstuffins disney junior channel”  she watches all the time and she has a medical kit given to her last December with our friend and  she pretends a doctor considering we have two medical kit that my mother-in-law gave before Christmas.

Well see what will happen on that day? Perhaps,she make up her mind and who knows what will happen. As of now I’m just enjoying the stage of being mom and  thankful I have a chance to be a stay-at home mom.

How about you? What Do You Want to Be When You Grow Up?

The art programs runs one hour and half so I kill the time by reading my favourite novel.Little M has 3 extra curricular activities this spring and I’m busy looking for the summer camp now so she has something to do on summer. I’m a busy mom but still thankful hubby helps me all the things we needed to do.I’m just glad hubby was not in business trip last month so he was with us and we enrolled her.

Little M Won: Best in Drawing:

Last Month, during easter day we went to egg hunting with my friends. They  have activities for all ages and they have  a  drawing contest that  so I ask my Little M if she wants to draw and she says “YES” She’s in the category of age 3 and draw by herself with excitement and joy. After she draws they collect it and after couple hours the emcee announce all the winners by age. They have one winner in every age. They call all the participants but “Little M” wants to play so I don’t bother her to go in front. As the emcee calls the best drawing in age 3 and goes the award to Little M, I told her she won the best for drawing and get her prize.Though the prize was a huge chocolate bunny and she smiles when she saw it considering she has a sweet tooth. Hubby and I surprised she won.

As a parents we’re so proud of her and called my parents-in-law about it. After a week Little M got a package from my parents-in-law. My parents congratulates her when they talked in the phone and so proud of their grand daughter.
Engineer by profession:
I’m not sure if it runs in the blood though,hubby and father-in-law are engineer by profession.My mom comments that it takes from daddy because he’s is an engineer.One thing for sure we’re proud to our daughter.

After what happened I decided to enroll my daughter for Art Programs  so she will develop her talent and go from then.

Adventure Science center: We’ve been talking for a while to bring Little M so she has a glimpse what is inside the Adventure Science . The place is cool with lots of learning interactive and fun for all ages. Though the place has frozen cans and some of the exhibits doesn’t work well or need some maintenance. But the place is enough for us to enjoy the day and we’re thankful for that.

Nashville Zoo: After the Adventure Science,Little M asked to see the animals so we bring her in the Zoo. Though we’ve visited the zoo many times ,we have had this feelings we never been there so its like new for us especially for our little ones.

Shopping: After we’ve done the sight seeing its time for fun in grocery shopping so we went  to Whole foods to shop some we needed for the week.

Restaurants: Hubby has a taste of Thai so he told me his going to cooked and I’m happy. hehehe. As you know his not cooking as you think, he’s going to bring the family  in the restaurant so we have our dinner with his chosen restaurants.

Over all we have had a beautiful family weekends and we make sure that our little ones is happy.How was your weekend?

• Beginner- students who have little experience in the water skills: The students will learn such as putting face in the water, breath holding and assisted floating.
• Beginner II-students  who have learned  floating and underwater swimming.  Students will learned basic techniques of freestyle and backstoke, including breathing.
• Advanced swimmer-students in this group will refine the techniques of freestyle and backstroke, and move into the basics of butterfly and breaststroke.

 At this week we’re in the 2nd week of the class so far “Little M” shows interest and enjoying at the same time. Though husband’s loves swimming and scuba diving its so a shame daughter and I can’t go with him under the ocean.

The other concerned we have had is our pool and kinda scares us  if she jumps without knowing  and drowned.

When my mother-in-law knows about “Little M” swimming class, she told that I have to take a private lessons so I can go with them in the deep water without the feeling of drawn.

What age did you learn to swim?

Ipad applications:

I downloaded the apps in her ipad so it’s easy for her to play around and she needs to learn to do all the activities by herself. Some activities is freezing once in a while but you can send them a feedback about it and if it happens I let my daughter’s used my laptop.

What is ABCmouse:

ABCmouse is an online educational website where you can play in your computer or download the apps in ipad.It designed for kids for pre-school to kindergarten  and you can pay it per month or one time payment where they have some promotions that time I signed-up. It depends what you want to choose. I pay as I go so it costs $7.95 per month.

What they learn:

Kids will learn if you will supervise your children.I sit down with “Little M” and she does it by herself and I just guide her if she needed.But most of it she does everything by herself and she’s excited every time she finished the activities and it brings you in a different environment-which is cool.

Subject:

The subject they have are  Math, Arts,Social Studies and sciences,language arts-which is reading and music and songs. Every subject has its own activities that kids may think they’re playing and at the same time they are learning.

Activities:

• Puzzle
• Games-all games are introduce and its more educational.

Do I recommend it:

For me its up to the parents considering I prefer my daughter’s to learn and at the same   she’s enjoying.

So I decided to enroll her in ballet dance and done some research if it has a good advantage if she’ll be in the class at age 3.

I know she’s kinda too young if you think, but I have a friend where she started at age 2 introducing different types of activities to her children. I see a big difference with her kids in terms of social which I needed to my daughter.

I’m glad I found this school and so happy I was in the perfect timing the registration was just started when I called.

My husband was very supportive when I talked to him about the class dance so he told me let her enjoy what she wants and let support her.

Ballet Dress:

When my mother-in-law knows I  was looking a school for ballet she sent a package of ballet dress and tights for “Little M”. I was  happy and thankful that I don’t need to ask her but she just send one so it saves me some bucks from then. Hubby and I was very thankful to my parents-in-law.

Ballet shoe:

My mother-in-law forgot the ballet shoe and I needed  that week so I just bought one for her  in the mall.

Recital Dance:

They’ll have a recital dance on May but we decided she’s not going to attend because she’s  bashful little girl and we’re scared its too much for her and we want her to enjoy first before introducing to another level.

Fall dance:

The teacher give me the schedule of Fall dance classes, so I’m planning to enroll her ballet with tap dance. Will see what will happen. As of now I’m happy she’s in ballet dance.

How about you at what age did you start introducing activities to your kids?

Though we’re a first-time parents.Husband and I had no experience in raising a children. I’m not a perfect mom but I  do my best  to raise our daughter. As of now I have a 3 year-old girls.

Here are some simple things we’ve done to our daughter at age 3:

a. Learn to listen-Husband and I talked about this that we need to listen to our daughter and give time to ask whatever she needs and wants in life and not ignoring her and tell “I’m busy”.

b. A good example-As a parents we want to be a good example in her life.

c. Eat together as a family-every weekdays we can’t eat together in breakfast and lunch. But we make sure we eat together during dinner and weekends.

d.Punishment-we set  limitation to our daughter. If she’s not listening to us ,she knows she’ll be punish or time-out corner.

e.do things together-we all love to do things together as a family. That’s why we make sure we have time to visit my parents-in-law and go vacation with them as a family.

f.cook together-My daughter and I love to cook or bake cake. At  age 3 she knows how to help in the kitchen and set the table.

g.Play with her-having a child and no friends to hang out everyday. We make sure we play with her in her own ways.

h.Read books-Reading books is important for us so we start  at early age.

i.movie time-we have movie once a week and our daughter chooses the movie for the week.
